Bat safari at Röstånga mill
Welcome to an exclusive bat safari in the surroundings of the old mill farm Röstånga mill. Here there are incredible habitats for bats and according to experts there are at least six species of bat on the site. The fact that the bats thrive so well here is due to a combination of several things - all the water that surrounds the farm, both ponds and running streams - the dramatic mountain slopes that protect and create varied microclimates - the deciduous forest with very large, old trees with hollows - the old farm buildings that offers protection We have created a unique experience for a small group of participants who are guided by the bat guide Stefan Viktorsson. This is for those of you who are looking for a nature experience with other adults who also want to get closer to nature. Since the group is relatively small, there will be minimal disturbances and everyone will hear and see well and get the help they need. We gather in the Orangery and while we wait for the sunset, Stefan invites you to the exciting world of bats. He talks about the animals and their ecology both in general, in Sweden and specifically in Röstånga. He will also show how the detectors you will be allowed to borrow during the safari work. At beautifully set and decorated tables you can enjoy a non-alcoholic drink with a vegetarian snack. It is also fine to bring your own wine or other drink to this upload. We can call it batbar. When the sun goes down around 8.45 pm, Stefan takes you out into nature around the farm. There, the bats have just started to become active and you can hear them via the detectors and probably also see flying bats. Stefan guides you in what you see and hear. It will be a magical hour of calm, low-key and respectful exploration of these amazing animals. Around 22.00 we finish in the Orangery with a summary of what we experienced and which species we found. Then it's time to say goodbye in the August evening.

My name is Britta Levin, who runs the company and I am a flower grower, creator and nature guide. I mostly stay at the old mill yard Röstånga mill outside the village of Röstånga at the foot of Söderåsen, central Scania. I am passionate about offering time and space for creation close to nature and to be more in the heart and less in the brain. I am basically a conservation biologist but have changed my path and now work more down-to-earth and creative and I love my job. I offer courses and workshops in, for example, flower arranging. Since I am also a nature guide and want to contribute to promoting people's contact with nature and themselves, I can also hold guided tours and workshops on a nature area or nature theme. My flowers suit the conscious person who likes natural, luxurious flowers. Here at Skillbreak you will also find concepts where someone other than me guides and inspires. Often it is a collaboration between several creators or guides.

The old mill yard Röstånga mill is an oasis just a stone's throw from Röstånga village. Suzanne Linge lives here with her horses, cats, dog, peacocks and a goose called Gunvald. Wildlife abounds on the farm and in the nature that surrounds it. The forest, the mountain geese and the water create a very special environment where many people thrive, including people. read more here: https://www.rostangamolla.com/
